Can a Shirt Be Longer Than a Jacket?

Fashion rules are meant to be broken, but should your shirt be longer than your jacket? Traditionally, jackets are designed to extend slightly beyond the shirt for a polished look. However, modern streetwear and layered styles often play with proportions—think longline tees under cropped jackets for an edgy vibe.

The key is balance. If your shirt is only slightly longer, it can add subtle dimension. But if it’s drastically oversized, it may look sloppy. For formal settings, stick to classic tailoring. For casual outfits, experiment confidently!

Would you rock a longer shirt under a jacket? Let us know in the comments!
